Scent

A multisensory in-store experience, with the product offering at its heart.

With a sought after location in central Beverley, our client wanted to transform the venue into a mid-high end retail store selling natural skincare and luxury fragrance, along with converting the first floor into a beauty area suitable for carrying out aesthetic procedures.

Our aim was to design  a concept that awakened the senses in order to create an immersive customer experience. Sound, smell and touch were incorporated through music, fragrance and tester products.

The design was simple yet effective and ensured the product did the talking. A series of free-standing storage tables in a walnut and marble effect finish, with tapered legs and brushed bronze ironmongery span the perimeter walls. A timber frame with a discreet punched post system, recessed LED lighting, mirrored back panels and removable header panels sit above each table. The design allows for flexibility and ease when merchandising and restocking.

We used the store’s lack of natural light as a means of heightening the senses, creating a dark and moody atmosphere with focused accent lighting, planting and a statement cash desk area at the back.
