A coffee shop concept with our client’s values at its heart, creating an environment for friends and family to enjoy time spent together.
We were fortunate to be able to partner with Tapri on a second project, following the success of our work together on their Indian restaurant concept. We were briefed to create a new coffee shop that aligned with the existing Tapri brand, a concept that created a relaxed, inviting environment for friends and family to enjoy.
Our design focused on the use of natural timbers, elements of concrete, terrazzo and geometric tiling. Injections of colour were used for joinery and messaging elements, with planting added throughout. The space includes a mix of seating, from built-in booth seating and smaller table set ups, through to chill out sofa areas and large sociable bench seating, providing a variety of areas for customers to enjoy.
As the coffee shop is located in the centre of a busy shopping centre, we wanted to find a way to create a separation from the surrounding area while still following the centre’s guidelines on visibility. We utilised low level routed walls and pergola structures to help zone and define the space. The pergola structures also allowed us to add feature lighting to further enhance the concept.
We helped our client reflect the Tapri brand by providing design guidance on the graphic elements within the space and helping with their online presence.
